FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 5, 2005 DR. HARRIS LEOPOLD NAMED DIRECTOR OF CARDIOLOGY AT CCMC HARTFORD, Conn.— Harris Leopold, MD, of Avon, has been named director of Pediatric Cardiology Associates and the Division of Cardiology at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Leopold replaces former director Daniel Diana, MD, who will continue to treat patients in the division on a part-time basis. Dr. Leopold has been at Connecticut Children’s since its opening in 1996. He received his bachelor’s degree in general studies from Harvard College, and his medical degree from State University of New York. Dr. Leopold completed his pediatric residency at the University of Connecticut, and completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Columbia University. He is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology, and is an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. |
