NAPCAR CONNECTICUT CHILDREN’S FUNDRAISER AT YARDE METALS TO FEATURE SPECIAL APPEARANCE BY ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPERS

SOUTHINGTON, Conn.—Yarde Metals Inc. and co-sponsor Ryder Truck expect to attract a variety of enthusiasts this year at their annual Bed Racing For Charity event. NAPCAR IV takes place from 11 am to 3 pm, Saturday, June 17, in the south parking lot of Yarde Metals at 45 Newell St., Southington.

In addition to extreme bed racing, a Classic Car Show, and a Ferrari Showcase, NAPCAR IV will host Orange County Choppers Jason Pohl (shown right in photo) and Jim Quinn, from Discovery Channel’s American Chopper, with two OCC custom choppers on display.

This year’s event will benefit Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford and the Main Street Children’s Fund c/o Main Street Community Foundation, headquartered in Bristol and serving Southington, Plainville, Burlington, Plymouth and Wolcott.

Other attractions at NAPCAR IV include a Kid Zone with games and face painting; rock station WCCC’s Hummer with on air talent offering tickets, give-aways to Loudon International Motor Speedway and Webster Theatre; and live music courtesy of rock band “Running With Scissors”.

Free food and beverage is included with $5 admission; no charge for children under 12. All proceeds will be donated to the two charities. To sponsor a race team, enter a vehicle in the car show, or to obtain more information, call the NAPCAR hotline at 860-406-6334 or visit www.napcar.com.
