Harte Nissan Promotion benefits Art Program at Connecticut Children's Medical Center HARTFORD, Conn. – Harte Nissan Inc. has shifted its generosity into high gear for patients at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Through December 31, 2005 Harte Nissan will donate $10 from the sale of every new Nissan automobile to the Children’s Art Program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. The announcement of the promotion was made at the CCMC Patient Art Show being held at the Jewish Community Center in West Hartford. The art program is an institutional-wide endeavor that establishes a child-centered healing environment through art. Harte Nissan—located on 165 West Service Road in Hartford—first began the yearlong promotion in July 2002. The mission of the art program is to establish a healing environment through the creativity of children. The artwork—created by patients and children from the community—is displayed throughout the medical center. As part of the promotion, more than a dozen kid-produced pictures are displayed at the Harte Nissan dealership. “Connecticut Children’s is one of a number of children’s hospitals across the country that has recognized the importance art and creativity play in the healing process,” said Debra Campagna, vice president of the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Foundation. “We are very grateful to Harte Nissan for once again supporting this vital program.”
