CONNECTICUT STATE POLICE DIVERS RIDE FOR CONNECTICUT CHILDREN’S MEDICAL CENTER

HARTFORD, Conn.— The generosity of the Connecticut State Police, Emergency Services Dive Team is easy to fathom as they once again raise funds for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

For the third year in a row, state troopers will ride a stationary bicycle underwater at this year’s Big E that takes place from Sept. 16 to Oct. 2 at the Eastern States Exposition, 1305 Memorial Ave, West Springfield, Mass. Pledges and one-time donations—all benefiting Connecticut Children’s— are made as the mileage in the 2,900-gallon underwater dive tank exhibit adds up. The exhibit takes place at the Big E Connecticut Building.

During the last two Big E events, the Dive Team has raised more than $17,000 for the medical center. The funds supported such specialized programs as the Hematology/Oncology Department and the Pain Relief Program.

For more information on sponsoring the troopers for their mileage or if you would like to make a one-time donation, please call or e-mail Nancy Roncaioli in the Connecticut Children’s Public Relations Department, (860) 545-9372 or Nroncai@ccmckids.org.
