FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 8, 2007 "ANNE YORK NAMED QUALITY IMPROVEMENT MANAGER AT CONNECTICUT CHILDREN’S MEDCIAL CENTER" HARTFORD, Conn.—Anne York, CPHQ, of Suffield, has been appointed as Quality Improvement Manager at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. She most recently worked as a quality improvement consultant in CCMC’s Quality Department. “This promotion recognizes Anne’s wonderful contribution to the Quality Department over the past several years. This includes her spearheading efforts in adopting Rapid Cycle change and Balanced Scorecard methodologies as the prevailing tools for quality improvement at CCMC,” said Robert Englander, MD, MPH, vice president of quality and patient safety. York’s duties include overseeing numerous organizational-wide QI projects; collecting and analyzing benchmarking data for comparative measures; and managing the medical center’s patient representative program. York has been with CCMC since its opening in April 1996. Previously, she worked at Hartford Hospital’s Human Resources Department. A year before CCMC opened, York transferred to the former Newington Children's Hospital to provide support to the consolidation efforts. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in philosophy from the College of Our Lady of the Elms in Chicopee, Mass. In 2001, York passed the certification exam for the designation of a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality from the National Association for Healthcare Quality. |
